Week-40–Hold-That-Thought

Hold That Thought. Usually stated when two people are talking and one person tries to politely interrupt, put a pin in the subject, and come back to it later. But in terms of metaphysics, holding a thought is the cornerstone of creation. You create your reality. How? By your practiced vibration of thoughts.

Most of us pay little to no attention to our thoughts. Thoughts come and go in our minds as quickly as we blink our eyes. It’s been stated we have roughly about 60,000 thoughts a day on average. If this is true, what are we predominantly thinking about? What thoughts are we holding on to that are shaping our beliefs, the experiences we encounter, and our realities?

How long can you sustain a thought? Test yourself. Most of us can hold a negative for hours, days, even years. Think about that. Sustaining a negative thought or belief for years. What do you think the repercussions are for doing that? We’re able to hold a negative thought for longer periods of time simply because we’ve practiced it longer, most times since we were children. And because negative thoughts and beliefs are usually coupled with some type of strong, intense emotion, they have a stronger magnetic pulling or attracting power. The more traumatic the experience in your past the easier it is for you to remember and think about right now. But the danger of that is recreation of unwanted experiences.

Or maybe you’re one who can think a positive thought with no problem, but then immediately contradict the thought with a coupling negative one as well. For example: “I would love to take a trip to Dubai but I’ve heard it’s so expensive.” Or, “I want more money, but I’m so tired of the struggle.” If you can learn to hold a pure positive thought, some say for as little as 17-20 seconds, without contradicting it, another thought like it, of similar vibration, will match it. Then what follows is manifestation of physical reality. This is Law.

This is so important to understand. Most of us don’t make it through a whole sentence without contradicting the vibration of our desires. Pay attention the next time you speak of something you desire. See if it’s coupled with a contradictory or sabotaging statement. The reason that it is difficult for us not to offer contradictory thoughts so quickly, is because we have been trained to be objective, we have been trained to weigh the pros and the cons, the pluses and the minuses. We’ve been trained to explore the worst case scenario along with the best case. We have been taught that this is the balanced and sensible way to approach things. When in reality, there’s no need to do this. Contrasting experiences have already put you in a position of desiring whatever it is that you want. You know what you want by knowing what you don’t want. Problems prod us into greater clarity of desire. But once the decision is made of what you want, and you turn your full attention to that decision, and do the very best you can to hold that thought of your decision, the universe will go to work in helping you achieve whatever it is that you’re wanting and in very short order. The trick, and it’s not even really a trick, but rather an exercise and practice, is to hold the thought. Allow the thought to gain momentum by sustaining it and cultivating it. If you are paying attention you will notice right away a response from the universe.

Every thought whether positive or negative has an accompanying or corresponding vibratory frequency. That frequency oscillates and attracts to other vibrations that match that frequency. So when you hold a thought whether positive or otherwise you are attracting other similar experiences, people, and circumstances that are a match to your oscillating vibration. This is why visualization is so powerful. If you can begin to train yourself to sustain (hold) a thought, you send out signals that the universe responds to. And the majesty of this is, it doesn’t matter what the thought is about. In other words whether you hold a thought about a puppy that makes you feel good when you think about it or a brand new Rolls Royce Camish, the universe is not responding to the subject of the vibration. The universe responding to the vibration and the frequency. It’s responding to your feelings and emotions, and goes to work orchestrating similar and corresponding vibrations.

We weren’t born to be copiers and imitators, simply here to observe and respond. We came here to direct energy! And to direct energy, we must HOLD the thought! Now, how do you know how you are doing, in other words, how do you know whether you are holding a pure positive thought or not? You have to become sensitive to the way that you are feeling because you can actually feel the fluctuations of the vibrations within you. It’s amazing when you pay attention. Your eternal guidance system, in other words, the way you FEEL is the way you know how you are doing! And is a clear barometer as to the thoughts you’ve been holding, positive or negative.

Let us take a moment and remind you. This is why we are here! We are creators! But let us put this statement into very clear terms; We are creators MEANING we are deliberate focusers of ENERGY. If we do not have the ability to hold a thought, we cannot be deliberate creators. We will continue to create our realities haphazardly. Coming close to achieving our true desires but never completely fulfilling them. It’s like saying: “I want a nice grilled piece of meat and so we light the charcoal in the grill, and just before the fire gets hot we lift the lid, and then we add more charcoal, and just before the fire gets hot we lift the lid again, then we put the fire completely out say: “For 15 years, I have been trying to get a grilled piece of meat!” And so the point is just leave the lid down , just leave it down a little longer and you’ll have what you want. Just hold the thought!
