2016 Week 10 – Keeping It ALL In Perspective
If you can keep your head when all about you are losing theirs and blaming it on you, If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you, But make allowance for their doubting too; If you can wait and not be tired by waiting, Or being lied about, And don’t deal in lies, Or being hated, don’t give way to hating, And yet don’t look too good, nor talk too wise:
If you can dream—and not make dreams your master; If you can think—and not make thoughts your aim; If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster And treat those two impostors just the same; If you can bear to hear the truth you’ve spoken Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools, Or watch the things you gave your life to, broken, And stoop and build ’em up with worn-out tools: Yours is the Earth and everything that’s in it… Rudyard Kipling
One of my all-time favorite poems is by Rudyard Kipling entitled “If”. There are four different stanzas, I used only a segment for the purpose of this writing.
We’ve all heard the saying “keep it all in perspective”, usually meaning don’t make too much of something, don’t make it too big of a deal – keep it in perspective. And while this is certainly good advice, as we come to understand through alignment and enlightenment, that there’s really no grave situation occurring, even when it appears so, we come to understand everything – EVERYTHING – is about perspective. Your perspective, your ability to perceive that or this is huge. It is one of the most important tools of a deliberate creator. Perspective can turn your life around three hundred and sixty degrees in an instant. Your perspective on a particular thing shapes your beliefs, what you think you can and can’t do, what you choose to eat/drink, who you choose to spend your time with, the values you choose to stand for, your standards, etc. Your perspective matters a lot! And what’s really and truly an awakening is when you come into alignment with who you are so that the perspective that you are offering is in sync with the broader more expanded version of yourself, which is the perspective of God. You begin to align with what your inner being already knows. You can start to view things from that lens, from the perspective of the Source from which we came. When the perspective you hold is in harmony with all that is, you not only empower yourself and your community abroad, but also you possess the power to create nations and worlds. This is what we’re all reaching for as creators– expansion of who and what we truly are and the ability to transform lives.
Your chosen perspective means everything! Just a subtle shift in perspective is powerful because it’s a shift in vibration, which is a shift in momentum, and ultimately a shift in your ability to receive and perceive law of attraction. The realization of this is so powerful when understood and put into practice because this is at the root of how we turn thoughts into things – taking control and responsibility of our vibrational vantage point so as to be better receivers. Receivers of what? – Receivers of impulses, ideas, inspired action, creative thought, desires, intuition. And receive these things from the perspective of our inner being. Keep it all in perspective, meaning keep all things in their proper place, meet with triumph and disaster and treat these two impostors the same. Of course celebrate your victories and adjust to your perceived disasters as you need to, but in it all, keep things in perspective, don’t become dependent on ANY condition for your source of joy and happiness. Life is happening all around us from politics to religion to education to health and wellness. And your perspective of it all is what will allow those things to have the biggest impact of your life – not life’s circumstances, but your perspective of life and how you choose to view whatever is happening and taking place. Will Trump be our next President? Will gas prices skyrocket? What are we going to do about health insurance? Will there be another war? Civil unrest? Police killing unarmed citizens? We must keep in perspective our views on our personal lives and the lives of our communities in a positive and uplifting light, in spite of how it appears – everything is always working out.
And what’s also amazing is that we have the ability to deliberately alter our own perspective. Game changer! We absolutely DO NOT have to simply respond to what’s happening in front of us. We can choose our response! We can choose our perspective! We are not bound by the perspective of society, our families, our friends, churches, mosques, or synagogues. Our own personal perspective is our unique gift from the Creator. Controlling your perspective disables fear, disallows insecurity. Controlling your perspective disempowers anxiety and grief. It likewise allows and facilitates liberation and freedom, and a creative force that transcends physical power, and boasts assurance and a knowing that all is well. It allows you to keep your head, when all about you are losing theirs.
Gaining control of your perspective is all deliberate creation is really about in a nutshell. It is nice to know that. And so much easier than trying to control a hail storm! Albeit it doesn’t seem like it’s easier because we are so rooted in our current belief systems that it’s sometimes difficult to break free of them. But it is so much easier to control your perspective of a person than trying to change their behavior, so much easier to control your perspective of your divorce, physical health condition, losing your job, etc. than trying to control that particular condition. Especially when you come to the realization and understanding that that’s ultimately the only thing you can control anyway is you and your perspective, and when you realize that the perspective you’re seeking is the perspective of your inner being, it then certainly gives you a compass and directional guidance, and becomes easier to accomplish. Someone said to me in a recent conversation, “Oh you’re just making things up as you go, you’re not facing reality” and I said yep, that’s pretty much how I do it, I make up the way I want to see it (alter my perspective), I start to believe it, then it happens. Make a conscious and deliberate decisions today and this week not to face the “reality” that’s in front of you but rather create your desired reality through your perspective, perception, and vibration. As it turns out, the best thing we can ever do to change any condition, ANY CONDITION WHATSOEVER, all conditions, starts with doing the best thing we can for ourselves. Keep it all in perspective.
